How whenywhere makes money

whenywhere is free to read, carries no display advertising, and never puts content behind a sign-up. The site is funded by partner links: on some guide pages you will find clearly marked links and modules from travel partners such as flight search, tour, accommodation, eSIM and insurance services. If you click one and end up booking, the partner pays us a small commission. The price you pay never changes.

The rules we hold ourselves to

• Commissions never sway the content. Verdicts about when to go come from the climate record. What to do, where to stay and what to skip are editorial calls made before any partner is attached, and a partner paying more never moves a recommendation.
• Commercial links are visibly different. Partner links are blue and ad units label themselves with an "AD" prefix; the green links are ours and always internal. Every guide page that carries partner links says so in one plain line, which links here.
• Nothing loads unless you ask. Partner links are plain links; no partner scripts, trackers or widgets run when a page loads. Interactive modules, like the accommodation price map, load only after you press their button.
• If a section has no honest content, it is empty. We do not pad pages to create places to put links, and pages without a written guide carry no partner modules at all.
